Job's Daughters Queensland

Where Girls Rule

Who can join?

Girls who are aged between 10 and 19 years old.

What if my daughter is younger than 10?

We have a program for younger girls called the Jobie to Bee program. Girls are invited to several fun activities each year such as Zoo trips, teddy bear picnics, ten pin bowling and much more.

Where are your Clubs/Bethels?

We have Bethels located at Wavell Heights, Petrie and Caboolture.

What do our members think?

“JDI has helped me feel confident in my abilities and make lifelong friends” – Lucinda aged 17

“I love Jobies because it has given me the confidence for public speaking”- Grace aged 15

“Job’s Daughters has allowed me to see my worth and make friends from around the world” – Mackenzie aged 16

Where can I find out more?

You can email us at membership@jdiqld.org and one of our adult volunteers will contact you. Click the icons at the top of this page to view our website or social media pages.

What can your daughter gain from membership?

  • Personal Growth: Members are encouraged to respect themselves and others. Supporting charitable organisations, through fundraising or volunteering (such as Clean up Australia Day), is an important part of Job’s Daughters.

  • Organisation skills: Girls run their own meetings and organise their own activities, with the supervision of adults. Formal meetings are held twice a month where each girl has a role to play. This provides vital public speaking experience which assists with school and future careers.

  • Leadership skills: Each club, called a Bethel, has a leader for six months. This leader is required to plan all activities for that period. By giving genuine leadership opportunities, girls develop skills that will equip them for adulthood. All members have a role to play in their club that is age appropriate and in line with their abilities.

  • Friendship and acceptance: All members are treated equally regardless of race, religion, economic background, identity, background or ability. Members are supported in a culture where each girl is valued, encouraged and recognised for her individual strengths. This builds genuine friendships and girls will have "Jobie" friends from around the world.

Job’s Daughters is a non-profit, girl’s leadership organisation.

Our mission is to create confident young women who are prepared to lead and who are given the opportunity to use their voice.

Local Leaders "Honoured Queen"

The local leaders of JDI are known as Honoured Queens.  A new Honoured Queen is elected by the members of each local group every six months.  So every girl gets a chance to experience this leadership role, if she wishes.

The Honoured Queen leads her local group; running the meetings and organising fun and social events.  She also selects a charitable project that will be supported during her six-month term.
