State Adult Leaders
At the state level, the adult leaders are known as the Jurisdictional Guardian Council. This is the adult advisory group that helps to lead Job’s Daughters across the state of Queensland. The Jurisdictional Guardian Council (JGC) provides leadership training opportunities, conducts an audit of each local Bethel to ensure they are working effectively to serve their Daughters (members), and assists in planning State activities. The Officers of the JGC are elected or appointed from adult volunteers around Queensland. Our state adult leaders are:
Sam Anstee - Jurisdictional Guardian -- jg@jdiqld.org
Ross Kirk - Associate Jurisdictional Guardian -- ajg@jdiqld.org
Sarah Larder - Vice Jurisdictional Guardian -- vjg@jdiqld.org
Ross Kirk - (Acting) Vice Associate Jurisdictional Guardian -- vajg@jdiqld.org
Jane-Elizabeth Harris - Jurisdictional Secretary -- secretary@jdiqld.org
Kym Drummond - Jurisdictional Treasurer -- treasurer@jdiqld.org
Local Adult Leaders
Each local group also has an advisory board which is known as the Bethel Guardian Council. This advisory group is made up of adults, parents, and Job's Daughter Alumni who assist the members at the local level. These parents and adults guide them through the processes of event planning, promotion, finances and help give them the tools to become strong, successful leaders.
Child Safety
In JDI, we take child safety very seriously. There is nothing more important to Qld Job's Daughters than the safety of our members. That is why each and every adult volunteer that works with our members MUST hold a Blue card and be a JDI (Job's Daughters International) Certified Adult Volunteer. This is a training program that ensures the protection of our members. Each volunteer must attend the class and pass a government approved background check. The CAV status of our adults MUST be renewed every year ensuring that at all times our members are working with loving, supportive, safe and trustworthy adults.
